WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ben’s Chili Bowl, one of Washington D.C.’s most iconic institutions, will unveil a new temporary mural featuring the dynamic Wizards backcourt of Bradley Beal and John Wall. Beal and Wall will be on hand to take a first look at the new mural and will be joined by Phil Chenier, the Wizard Girls and G-Wiz.

The mural of D.C.’s backcourt, designed by local artist and Wizards fan Robert Generette III, is going up in support of the beginning of the Wizards NBA Playoff run, starting this weekend.  The mural will stay up through early May, at which point work will begin on the final mural.

Using an Apple iPad Pro with Adobe, Generette’s drawings have been commissioned by other professional sports teams including D.C. United.  Generette is a full-time photography teacher at a high school in Maryland.

Established in 1958, Ben’s Chili Bowl has been part of many historical moments that have helped define the metropolitan area. Many celebrities and political figures visiting the nation’s capital have made sure to stop by this D.C. landmark. Featured in numerous movies and television shows, Ben’s Chili Bowl continues to be active in the community through their foundation.
