WASHINGTON, DC –
The National Basketball Association released today the schedule for the 2017 NBA Summer League. The Wizards will play in three preliminary round games from July 8-11 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 17. Washington will play its first game on Saturday, July 8, vs. Memphis at 4:00 p.m. EST. Their next two games are scheduled for Monday, July 10, vs. Miami at 4:30 p.m. EST and Tuesday, July 11, vs. Chicago at 6:00 p.m. EST. Washington’s first and third games will take place at Cox Pavilion while the second matchup will be at Thomas and Mack Center.
The 2017 Wizards Summer League team will feature three players from the 2016-17 roster in Sheldon McClellan, Chris McCullough and Daniel Ochefu.
The 67-game NBA Summer League schedule will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas and will feature a record 24 NBA teams competing for the NBA Summer League title. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
