Wizards Today 12-8

December 8, 2017
Today’s Storyline: The Wizards defeated the Suns last night 109-99 for their second consecutive win.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 34 points, his fifth game with 30-or-more points this season. Beal's 85 points are the most by a Wizard in a two-game span since Gilbert Arenas had 85 -- 54 on 12/22/06 and 31 on 12/26/06.

With a defensive rebound with 6:56 remaining in the third quarter, Marcin Gortat recorded his 3,286th rebound as a member of the Wizards, passing Jeff Ruland for ninth all-time in team history.

Kelly Oubre (12) and Ian Mahinmi (10) each tallied double-figure points off the bench. Washington is now 7-3 this season when at least two players come off the bench and score 10+ points.

Markieff Morris and Bradley Beal went a combined 21-34 (.618) from the field, helping the Wizards to a 41-81 (.506) shooting night. Washington is now 6-1 this season and 31-4 over the last two seasons when shooting above .500 in a game. The 31 wins are the fifth-most in the NBA over the last two seasons.
